Domains
HTTPS and SSL certificates
The padlock on your site, and why you do not have to do anything.
Every Delrity website is served over HTTPS - the padlock in the browser bar. It is included free on every plan, for your Delrity address and for any custom domain you connect.
What we handle for you
- Issuing the certificate when your address first goes live.
- Renewing it before it expires, forever, without you being involved.
- Doing the same for the exact hostname of every custom domain you connect.
You never buy, upload, install or renew a certificate. There is nothing to configure.
Why a new address is briefly unreachable
A certificate takes about 20 to 30 seconds to issue the first time an address goes live. Until it exists, a browser will refuse the connection. This is why Delrity waits for your address to actually respond before showing you the live link.
Tip: If a browser warns about a certificate on your site more than a minute after publishing, that is worth reporting - email support@delrity.com with the exact address.
