Menu & Catalogue: what changes by plan
What Starter, Professional and Business each get from the same section.
The Menu & Catalogue section is not a Business feature that trickles down - it is available on every plan from day one. What changes by plan is a single thing: photo uploads.
Starter
- Full use of the Menu and Price list layouts.
- The Catalogue layout is selectable, but photo upload slots are locked.
- Saving a website on Starter removes any photos from catalogue items, including the demo photos a template came with.
- The 30-item limit applies.
Professional and Business
- Everything Starter has, plus real photo uploads on the Catalogue layout.
- The same 30-item limit, plus a 25-photo limit on top of it.
Business does not get anything extra here beyond what Professional has - the Menu & Catalogue section is identical on both. Business's own extra capability is commerce (the online store), which is a separate section entirely.
Tip: If you are deciding between Professional and Business purely for photos on a menu or price list, Professional is enough - commerce (real checkout) is the only thing that specifically needs Business.
