Selling online
Selling online with Delrity
What your store does, what it does not, and how to turn it on.
On the Business plan your website can sell. It is a capability of your website rather than a separate shop, so your store lives on the same address, uses the same theme and carries the same branding.
What you get
- A product catalogue of up to 55 products.
- A shopping cart and checkout.
- Online payments into your own PayFast account, plus optional cash on delivery and pay on collection.
- Order management, from order received through to delivered or collected.
- A confirmation email and a private tracking link for each of your customers.
- Basic inventory: stock is held while a customer checks out and reduced when the sale is confirmed.
- Coupon codes.
What is not included
So you are not surprised later, these are deliberately not part of this version: product variants such as sizes and colours, courier integrations, delivery zones or shipping rates, subscriptions, gift cards, product reviews, wishlists, abandoned-cart recovery and refunds from within Delrity.
Turning your store on
- 1Make sure you are on the Business plan, or within your free trial.
- 2Create a website from one of the online store templates.
- 3Open the website and go to Commerce.
- 4Open Payments and connect your payment provider, or choose a cash payment method, then add your first product.
Tip: Your store is open in exactly the windows where your site can be live. During your trial it is fully open with real payments. When a trial or subscription ends, the store closes with the site - and every product, order and coupon is waiting when you subscribe.
Tip: There are two Online Store templates - one positioned for food, groceries and bakery-style businesses, one for fashion, beauty and lifestyle retail. Both have the identical commerce capability described above; the difference is purely which one looks and reads right for what you sell.
