Fix a custom domain that is not working

The usual causes, in the order worth checking them.

Almost every custom domain problem is one of a handful of things. Work down this list in order.

1. Check the records character by character

Compare what is at your provider with what the Domains page shows. Watch for a trailing dot, a missing hyphen, or your domain name accidentally appended to the value by your provider's interface.

2. Check for a conflicting record

If an old A, AAAA or CNAME record exists for the same name, it will fight the new one. Remove the old one. A parking page from your registrar is a common culprit.

3. Check you edited the right place

If your domain's name servers point at a different provider, DNS is managed there and records added at your registrar do nothing. Whoever the name servers point at is where the records belong.

4. Give it time, then verify again

DNS changes spread at their own pace. Wait a while and use Verify again. Adding the records a second time does not speed anything up.

5. Check your plan

Custom domains need a paid Professional or Business subscription. If your trial is running or has ended, connecting a domain is unavailable and your site stays on its Delrity address.

Tip: Still stuck? Email support@delrity.com with your domain name and a screenshot of your DNS records. Professional and Business customers get priority support.
